Pillar III

Module 1: What Investment Banking Really Is

Who sits on each side of a deal, what each side is paid to do, and why the two depend on each other.

I
Buyside vs. Sellside: The AnalogyThe real estate agent and the house flipper
II
How the Relationship WorksWhy neither side functions without the other
Buyside vs. Sellside

How the relationship actually works

Sellside
  • Sources opportunities
  • Frames narratives
  • Controls information flow
Buyside
  • Evaluates opportunities
  • Allocates capital
  • Decides whether to engage
Key Idea Neither side functions efficiently without the other. The sellside creates and frames the flow; the buyside judges and funds it.
Pillar II

Module 6: Leveraged Buyouts

The three core value drivers behind every LBO, and the discipline that makes them work.

I
EBITDA / Cash Flow GrowthGrow earnings so the whole pie gets bigger
II
Debt PaydownCash flow retires debt, so equity's share grows
III
Multiple ExpansionExit at a higher multiple than entry — upside, not underwritten
Growing the Equity Slice

Entry → Exit (Illustrative)

Key Takeaway Entry valuation discipline matters. Paying too high an entry multiple makes every other value driver harder to realize — an LBO acts as a floor valuation.

Can I combine the Accelerator with 1:1 Coaching?
Yes. Many students use the Accelerator for structured preparation and add hourly 1:1 Coaching for extra interview practice or last-mile prep.
How is content delivered?
