Built on 15+ years of Wall Street experience.
Wall Street Smart brings firsthand experience across investment banking, leveraged buyouts, distressed debt, and long-short equities to career guidance and financial education.
Experience across both banking and investing
Before founding Wall Street Smart, Yang spent more than 15 years across investment banking and hedge funds, with experience spanning M&A, leveraged buyouts, distressed debt, and long-short equities. That work meant sitting on both sides of the hiring table: being recruited, and later doing the recruiting.
The experience provided a perspective that extends beyond recruiting โ working through transactions and investments firsthand, seeing how different firms operate, and understanding what the job actually requires after the interview is over.
Wall Street Smart was built to bring that perspective into financial education โ starting from how the work is actually done, then working backward into interview-ready fluency.
Since founding Wall Street Smart, Yang has coached students into investment banking, private equity, and hedge fund roles, and mentored candidates into top MBA programs including Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton.
